SA: Trip wire to stop hoons on bikes condemned

A local councillor has condemned an attempt to use trip wire at head height .. to curb
hoons on motorised minibikes in an Adelaide park.

Playford deputy mayor GLENN DOCHERTY says minibike riders at Cambridge Park .. in Adelaide's
north .. are a constant problem.

But he says the use of trip wire .. which has been placed across a walking track ..

is not the way to solve the problem.

Councillor DOCHERTY is urging residents to call police if they see the minibike riders
.. and not take the law into their own hands.
