Telematics refers to small, dashboard- mounted devices for your car that are capable of accessing limited Internet content. And we're talking about aftermarket devices -- those that can be added to older model cars rather than having to be factory installed on new ones. Microsoft already has unveiled its new Windows CE for Automotive. And Palm is teaming with Delphi Automotive Corp. and the Mayfield Fund to develop Internet services for drivers.
